Healing Benefits of Beef Broth

Did you know that beef broth is important to gut health? It’s easy on your digestive tract and it actually helps heal your gut. Beef broth is also a good source of healthy fat and protein.

Organic beef broth is also good for people with IBS, leaky gut, Crohns and other autoimmune diseases. Why organic? Because you don’t want any artificial ingredients that can irritate the digestive tract (ie make things worse!)

Ideally, you want to drink homemade beef broth but if you don’t have time to make your own, then use the next best thing which is powdered beef broth. I like the Bare Bones brand. I order mine online at Amazon because if you know me, I’m a “click and ship” gal — ain’t nobody got time going from store to store looking for something that can be delivered to my house.

These come in individual packets that can be added to a cup of hot water. The powder easily dissolves in hot water.

I like to drink a cup of beef broth when I’m cold and need something hot to warm me up. I also like to drink beef broth when I have an upset stomach or not feeling well.

Since these come in little “travel size” packets, they are great to take to work and/or when traveling. I wouldn’t consider these to be a meal replacement drink — just something to have on hand to calm an upset stomach or to help tied you over until the next meal.
